David and Trish McVay have come to First United Methodist Church in Troy from Gadsden Street United Methodist Church in Pensacola, Florida.

            David is originally from Jackson, Alabama, and Trish is from Columbus, Georgia and Green Crossroads, Alabama in Barbour County. They have one son, Chris McVay, who has recently graduated from Auburn University and currently lives and works in Pensacola.

            David has served several other churches including Thomasville United Methodist Church and Robertsdale United Methodist Church. He is a graduate of Huntingdon College and Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Multiplying and empowering disciples of Jesus Christ is at the heart of his ministry.

            Trish has served within the church related to the areas of worship and music, children, discipleship, and other various capacities. She is also a graduate of Huntingdon College with a degree in business administration.

            They very much look forward to sharing in the ministry of First United Methodist Church, and are excited about being here.
